It takes them 5 weeks to get put an upgrade that Mut 21 coins provides participant background to their stats display. Let us just say for a moment the actual devs in EA are not poor, but the higher ups and executives are. How little resources should they have, or how ungodly broken is the code that it takes this longterm? It makes you think. That’s what disturbs me. If it takes them FIVE months to bring the smallest of attributes, absolutely no chance Madden 22 is gonna have anything big of an upgrade to franchise either. It is gonna take them 5 years to really have an authentic huge change to franchise. Eh, they constructed Yard in annually. I believe they can at re-build franchise and then add on in huge doses over the next 3 decades.
I believe that the base of Madden is basically broken. They have had to begin from scratch the last 2 console production lumps (PS2/XB->PS3/360->PS4/X1) because the hardware architecture shifted radically each time and they just have not managed to catch up since the yearly release cycle means that they obviously don’t have the time to work out the underlying issues. Additionally I am not holding out any hope for another gen. PS5/Series X are just stronger versions of this PS4 Pro and 1X, they have got the same CPU architecture so it’ll be the exact same busted game but with perhaps a few better visuals. I appear to remember reading an guide or two on how the Frostbite motor has generated some huge issues for both FIFA and Madden (I believe FIFA is using it too?) , especially when it has to do with physics. Long story short, my understanding is Frostbite is great for FPS (which is exactly what it was intended for) but was only terrible for athletics or really anything apart from FPS.
However, EA, in their infinite wisdom, wanted all of their studios using the same engine. On the one hand, I get it, it will help streamline development and can save costs in the long term. I wonder if the problem is truly the engine, or the legacy code that has been sprinkled across multiple engines. A sports game built on Frostbite from the start would have to be better. Here’s an article that talks about overall issues with Frostbite from assorted EA studios that aren’t doing FPS, seems like a lot (of course ) got lost in translation from lookup engine to Frostbite for the sports matches using it; and while visuals enhanced, physics got considerably worse.
Players: What about a creation package for expansion teams or just like a news round up as you see in NCAA dynasty? Truly and utterly pathetic. Months and months to find something set in and we get 3 measly small things that should have been in the game. All these motherfuckers will need to get rid of the exclusivity permit and there has to be competition. I wouldn’t take the whole capability to make NFL games off as that would create a second monopoly for 2K. They need to buy mut coins madden 21 fight to make good fucking games. Madden 21 is past saving. Theres no way that they could salvage this match as any necessary franchise overhauls are not likely to be addable in the middle of the cycle.
